Vintage Cafe // Summit

Any one up for vintage? haha. I heard there's a new cafe that recently open in Summit. Okay, I know Summit is not everyones' number one choice but when your college is near Summit, it's your second best place to go LOL.

Anyway, my sister and I decided to give it a try. It's a subtle cafe where you can miss it if you're not looking properly but, it's great for a hideout from social hahaha. It's cosy and small so yay.

Little decoration for the table

Free Coffee or Tea with your meal, well tea please! Free stuff always make people happy hahah.

Fish Carbonara.

It's okay for RM 7.90 (that's before GST) but the fish is just meh. Though, I went again like last week or something and they changed the fish! The new fish is way better haha.

They have limited choice in their menu but you can ask "what's special today" to get something different! The first time I went they had smoked chicken carbonara I think, and the second time- chicken aglio olio.

Inside the cafe facing out, and

 facing in.

Besides that, they have pastries! If I'm not mistaken, they change their variety of pastry every week. On my second visit, we tried their pumpkin pie and it's really good. They created a cinnamon crust with pumpkin + ginger filling. Sadly, I didn't take a picture so I couldn't show you how good it looks like.

You can also get your own customise cake from them for any special occasions but you need to order few days earlier. This is really convenient though for college students especially when we have friend's birthday. However, I don't really know how much does it cost for a whole cake so yeap, you guys need to check it out first,

Finally,

As you can see, it's not a very eye-catching. In fact, when I first pass by this shop I thought it was a bookshop LOL. You can find this shop at 1 floor above Popular, near the mamak stall OR if you know where's the Thai Shop, it's near there too.

Hope you guys like it and let me know if you've try it out! xx.

At loss for words

I've been thinking about this for awhile, and wonder how can one be there for their friend in tough times? It's like an impossible mission because at that time, everything one may know about the person, isn't the same person any more.

It actually hurts to see how our friend go through this in life and it pains us even more that there's really nothing we can do about it. Now that I'm at the other side of the door, I understand what is it like to be at loss for words.

Back to 2 - 3 years ago, I was the one going through a tough time (minor tough time) and there was a particular friend who only said, "Cheer up, I'm here if you need me." when I told that person about it. At first, I was quite piss and disappointed. It seems as if one didn't really bothered about it but now, maybe I was wrong. Maybe one thought it was the best to let me have my time and when I'm willing to talk, one'll be there.

I wish now that I didn't say things then because it was all a misunderstanding and now, it could be the caused of broken friendships. I'm sorry that I wasn't more mature then. That "tough time" wasn't really a big of deal now either. Lesson learned: If it wouldn't matter in 10 years time, it shouldn't matter now - need to really get this in my head.

Although, I'm glad that situation happened. If not, I wouldn't have thought about it and try to approach things differently now. Thankful for one of my friend too, that helped me realised there are other ways to be there for your friend.

The main reason for this post is that I want to express to my friend that's going through a tough time right now. I want to say that I'm here for you and if you need me, just call me. I hope that you would understand, I'm at loss for words, not that I'm not bothered. Words can't express how glad I am that I was able to get to you today and bother you with bits of my life, hopefully I can continue to do that without annoying you.

signing off, xx.

Short Video: I will - Chelsy

Remember I told you guys I was helping my friend with her video assignment? Yeap, the Japanese theme girl video hahaha.

It's finally finished! I'll let you guys be the judge. I was just about to say "just in case the video got removed, here's a uploaded version" but I decided to search for the youtube version first and wow. It really got removed LOL

Lucky me for saving it earlier.

I'm still trying to figure out how can I actually enlarge my video in the post because it's small like so not nice to watch something small - not to mention the video quality had drop a lot (no idea why T_T sorry guys)

Credits to the respective owners for the song and video, hope you guys enjoyed it!

Franc✪!

Hello readers! Sorry for not being able to update my blog regularly, I've been so busy recently helping my friend with her video assignment. I helped to act in her short music video which was pretty fun HAHA. I enjoyed it except for having to manage and take care of this wig that I will be wearing in the video to portray a Japanese school girl. (That's her video theme btw, Japanese haha.)

Nevertheless, it was fun! Do I look Japanese enough to you? hahhaha.

We were able to travel to KL for the shooting at the old KTM in KL which is super nostalgic & to I-city for night shooting hahaha. Hopefully it was all successful in her video.

.

.

.

After shooting at KL, I went dinner with my brand new "makan buddies" (hopefully successful buddies HAHA) at the Curve! Whoos! We decided to try Franc✪ after walking around aimlessly. Franc✪ is a French & Japanese combine type of cuisine which is really different for me. (First time see such combination!)

HONG'S MEAL:

Sprite which cost RM5.80 LOL

Souffle Au Franco RM28.80

This is Hong's dish where I only manage to try the top part because it's beef tomato rice (if not mistaken.) The top part was really good, it contains eggs which is super fluffy and cheese. It hides the tomato rice underneath so well! Though, my friend thinks the rice is just so-so.

CARSON's MEAL:

Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake RM13.80

Honestly, the content/name of this drink is already "heaty" so yeap. I'm not a fan of peanut butter so this is definitely not for me.

Riz Au Curry RM26.80

Carson's opinion on this dish is just so-so. It's beef so I couldn't try it but Carson said that it's like Japanese curry rice with egg and sausage just that they add cheese on top. Cheese and curry..? Mmm, not a very good idea I think.

MY MEAL:

Fizzy Berries RM13.80

It's a bit sour, a mixture of blueberry and strawberry fizzy. Definitely refreshing just like the menu stated!

Adzuki Red Bean & Jelly Pancake RM21.80

I actually wanted their original plain pancake but they recommend me to have some toppings so here goes. The pancake is a mixture of green tea along with their red bean paste, coffee & green tea jelly and matcha ice cream topping. The red bean paste is sweet as usual but I didn't really like the coffee jelly. It's bitter like coffee LOL.

while waiting for food..

Group selfie hehe!

Okay, You guys are probably thinking by now like WHY ON EARTH IS THE MEAL SO EXPENSIVE. Trust me, that's what I thought too until I saw the menu again. You can scroll up again to see. In the menu front cover, it stated FINE CASUAL. Now I know why. It's like fine dining-just casual. The portion are not that filling, totally explains it.

Sorry guys, first time makan and already caused you a bomb. Next time makan budget ok? T_T

Our next stop for dessert is;

IKEA ice cream! (The best ever!)

Oh and the additional hot dog because Hong was still hungry hahaha.

Look at this beautiful creamy ice cream for only RM0.80!! I can eat like 4 of this. #heavens

Lastly, ending this post with food selfie.

(there is something I must say though, I have no idea why my face look like some fat potato in all the selfie photos like Y U NO BEAUTIFUL. hahahha)

Until next time, xx!

Yen's 19th

17th January marks the day of my best friend's birthday, Yen sin. I know i know. It's February already and I'm only blogging about it now. HAHAHA but I have been so lazy! help me T_T

One of the days, her boyfriend came up to us to help plan Yen sin a surprise party so our plan was her boyfriend is going to take her to spa (and I'm going to be the taxi) then after that have dinner in One City. I was super excited LOL, I even made candle lightnings which failed badly.

One of the funniest thing was when me (the taxi driver) went to pick her boyfriend and yens up. Yens was blind folded & she thought she's in a cab LOL so we (me & Adelynn) changed our radio station to a Malay radio station then when her boyfriend tell us "bang" (for abang) to fetch go one city, all we answer is like MHMM. HAHA trying so hard to be a real cab. I tell you, we should receive an award for effort HAHAHAHA.

But I think at the end, she found something weird because she was touching the back of my sister's car dashboard and there's a furry duck. LOL like which cab have a duck right. #haih #epicfail #yenspleasedon'ttouch #keepyourhandstoyourself haha.

After dropping them to spa, we with Adel's boyfriend and his friend went to taipan to collect the cake, get balloons and all. Prepared everything earlier and await for the quests plus, the VIP Yen sin to arrive.

So yeah, that's the thing that I made which fail terribly I can cry LOL. Luckily, the restaurant gave their super oil candle which saved the day!

When yens came, I guess she was really surprised HAHA. Hopefully if not that means our plan failed. #sobs #failureofbothmonths #sincei'mblogginginfebruary. I think I did a great job at inviting the guests today not to mention help from Reuben (yen's boyfriend) and Adelynn.

Chit-Chat, Pictures, Foodie,..

Mango Sticky Rice which is quite nice!

Thai Milk Tea like WOW HAHAHAHAHHA
Taste like teh tarik or normal tea but unique too hmm

Tomyam Fried Rice

My Tomyam Glass Noodle
which was super filling I cannot finish which is kind of a big deal
because I can usually finish all my food.

If you're thinking why is there so little food, it's because I didn't managed to take all the pictures of everyone food. Basically, there's more food than this.

Birthday Girl with YiSin before YiSin left.

Baskin Robbin's Love Potion Ice Cream Cake!!
(self-order & collect from taipan LOL)

Reuben had like the greatest idea which is to wear a Lee Hom mask because yens' a Lee Hom fan and there was a concert on that day in Penang which she couldn't go so this as a substitute hahaha. How cute.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA

Yensin & le Boyfriend

Us

The Fwens LOL

Yensin & Suann (her college friend)

Okay, for this part it's a bit embarrassing because we tricked yens to open her present that we gave to her (which is lingerie) in front of everyone LOL.

Whoopie Doo! New lingerie for New Year HAHA,

That's all for today, the post's a bit funny I feel HAHA. xx.

Regrets

Hello readers,

I'm going to tell you upfront that this is going to be a long, draggy personal post.

Do you remember when we're small, we often make mistakes that somehow hurt one of our own? Well, yeah. I was the same and things that I've done has gone beyond apologising. I don't even know how to start my post.

I think that the person I wish I can make it all better for is my mother. There are many things that I've done that I couldn't make it up to her. So much suffering that I've caused all because of my childish, immature act and thought. Although everyone say, people make mistakes in life and that we have to learn from it.

How can you forgive yourself for making that mistake when everything else haunts you for it?

And right when I thought what's past is past, no. Apparently, these are the mistakes that I've made in life where the wound is too big to fully heal. The same old mistake that I made was brought up during one of our talks and from the looks of it, it's not good. Many times I read people's blog about their issues with family and how sorry are they and how they want it to be better, I'd always be able to relate to it and their stories were touching, giving me hope that I can turn things around too but at the end of the day, nothing's change. What's done is done.

Mistakes made are mistakes that will never be forgotten, just forgiven. I've seen it runs in my family, and I'm afraid I'm the caused of it now. What makes it worst is that I don't think I really stood up for my mother. If I were to count the times my mother stood up for me, and the times I stood up for my mother, it would be a great difference.

I really want to apologise for everything that I've done. All those words that were spoken by me, so unbelievable. How can such person utter those words. For all the times that I could hold my patient longer, just a littler longer and I wouldn't have to humiliate you. If only I were to be more mature by then, more thoughtful, you wouldn't feel this way now. How I wish I can take it all away. To lift your mind from all this burden words that were said to you.

. . .

Another person that I want to apologise is to those that I've meet. All of you. Sorry for the times I wasn't more considerate about your feelings. For saying things on impulse that comes off hurtful. For being caught in the moment becoming more harshly and letting other people misjudge you for my action.

Sorry to the those that I've hurt when I'm upset with you, saying things just to hurt you which is unacceptable because these are the words you shouldn't say no matter what. If only I were more mature then. I want to apologise for being childish over things that you couldn't change. For blaming you over things that isn't your choice for being in that situation.

I'm sorry for being such a let down. For not being able to be a little stronger when needed, to not break down. Regrets like this just keep piling inside and I wish I can remove it all.

Then again, your past is what makes you now.

I know my thoughts are contradicting, but at the end of the day, we can only pick ourselves up and keep going forward. Mistakes made are things we have to put more effort in making it right. Hopefully, I can turn this around with everyone.

Sorry for this depressing vibe, thank you for reading though.

Alchemist

Looks familiar?

Welcome... to the ALCHEMIST!

Sometimes I think I work in several places because I help to promote their cafe or even McDonald HAHA. If I got free coupon, I would distribute it to others for sharing which eventually make me look like I'm working in that particular shop.

Anyway, this post is kind of late. I think I went to this cafe in the early January but look, I'm only blogging about it now. #queenofprocrastination. The food here is really affordable, not to mention that the portion is just enough (I think) haha. Here's what I had:

Peach Tea
They use mason jar for this drink which is a lot for about RM 3.90 or 4.90, can't really remember

"Naked" Aglio Olio
HAHAHA (RM6.90)

Chicken Carbonara (RM10.90)

Seafood Aglio Olio (RM9.90)

Okay, for our parents, this would still be consider as an expensive meal for any time of the day but to be able to get a pasta at RM10 and below in SS15? I think it's cheap haha. Basically, they serve the main snacks, desserts and meal as other cafes but I only managed to try their pasta.

You can find this cafe opposite of Tryst.

Let me know what you guys think! xx.
