Johor

Bayu Marina Resort - Permas Jaya, Johor. Fuishh, macam yes newspaper LOL. I'm having a really hard time starting my blog post haih. It's not that I have nothing to blog but the opening/starting of the post is ALWAYS damn hard for me. (same goes to essay) #sadlife

My apology for not blogging for super long. I would actually blog but because I decided that I have no use of my laptop (worst decision ever) in Johor. Okay, maybe it wasn't the worst decision ever since the Internet at the resort partially sucks. Enough of my pointless rant, it's time for my trip!! This trip to Johor was actually for work but I was so excited (never been to Johor before) and quite a few people were going to Johor at that time makes it more exciting. HAHA I don't even know if that is relevant.

Let's begin with my Day 1. I reached around 3 in the noon and there was nothing much in between until dinner! We had err.. "typical Chinese" kind of dinner where there's dishes and chopsticks and tea. (you get what I mean)

Bak Kut Teh | Wine Black Sauce Chicken | Vegetables | Ginger Fish

I know it sounded weird like wine black sauce chicken?? why wine and black sauce? But it tasted good.

After dinner, we checked in to the resort.

`not bad.. HAHA. The chandeliers wow. Their apartment room was nice and comfortable too.

Next morning, Day 2.

We had breakfast at the resort and the only thing that caught my attention was...

HAHAHAHHA. Don't hate me okay, like wthell. WHY WOULD YOU EAT CEREALS AT RESORT. But I love cereals and my house rarely have them or if we have, they would be gone in less than a week.

My ootd for Day 2 hehehe.

But ootd gone to waste. We barely left the resort so back to pyjamas can HAHAHA.

Lunch was great though! Our aunt had someone deliver food to us at the resort since she had work yay! #feelingloved.

Duck and Roasted Pork Rice

Chicken Rice

It looks like your normal typical duck/chicken rice but it tasted damn good no joke. Their chili was wow so delicious I cannot resists!! You can get them at:

Meng Meng Roasted Duck
no. 5, Jalan Permas 10/5,
Bandar Baru Permas Jaya,
81750 Johor Bahru, Johor.
Tel. no: 07-3886322
(this outlet is the closest to our resort but they have other outlets around Johor)

Moonlight Cake House
www.moonlightcake.com

Another irresistible food or dessert which were these cakes!! Omg, they had so many flavours and majority of them were cheesecakes. yay BUT (yes... with everything so nice there's always a but) it's pricey. In fact, I think it's QUITE pricey.

There's a story behind this cake which was there were 12 pieces of cake so my sister and I decided to eat 6 and keep the other 6 for my aunt and her clique. We made a really smart choice and brought the cake to the office the next morning for them so that they won't forget to eat it but we left it in the car. I know, just how dumb can we be right haih.

And actually right, I did not regret not bringing my laptop. The only thing I regret not doing was CHECKING out the resort and BRINGING a SWIMSUIT. Haih, that's the saddest thing ever okay because the resort had a swimming pool and there weren't much people so you practically have the pool by yourself. #doyoufeelmysadness

Thus, with my "super cannot lose" attitude I decided that the least I can do was soak my leg in the pool HAHAHA. #superkiasu

Evening view.

For dinner, we had Maggi cup noodles (round 1) since my aunt was running late due to work and steamboat (round 2) after she called us yay!

It's steamboat so there's nothing much to say HAHAHA except that their soup was delicious!

Fried Fish Ball (I think.)
yummy!

Bak Kian

Not many places have this "bak kian" which is a kind of handmade sausage. I know this because it is our traditional speciality bak kian that runs in our Soo's family. However, ours tasted better than this so this bak kian was not that good. Maybe this was because I had always eaten a bak kian so I can compare it.

Day 3 yeppies!

It was a really busy day for everyone including me since I had work to do HEHE. #makingmyselfproductive Anyway, we decided to eat at Grandma's House Restaurant (Western Thai Cuisine). It's near the nearest Aeon from Bayu Marina Resort.

`hehehe.

I really love this concept of this restaurant, the way they decorate it reminds me of my grandmother last time. The plate cupboard, sewing machine, feather cane and bicycle brings back the olden days atmosphere.

Sour-plum Drink

Pandan Chicken | Tom Yam

Vegetables

Red Tom Yam

Duck Confetti Pasta

Cabbage?

Sausage with Mashed Potato

Besides their warm and cosy atmosphere, their food are pretty good too! The pasta was delicious so as their tom yam soup and dishes. Yums!

Day 4.

That was a major busy day so there was nothing much and we only ate mamak for dinner HAHAHA. Unless I blog about mamak food... which everyone else have eaten before except that their mamak had tom yam soup! WOW right HAHA.

Final - Day 5.

Deng Deng Deng! This was the BIG day for our event that we were working on the past few days. It was a launching event for Pantech Group Head Office in Johor. This event was like reading those books about those high position people and their daughters coming to the event and their daughters were like glowing, the way they carry themselves like socialites. They were classy, outstanding and well-manner. It was amusing for me since it was my first time attending/helping out with this kind of event. However, I wasn't able to get any pictures during the event because I was busy checking on stuff BUT I manage to get the important part, which was the food!

Caramel Pudding

I know it's not their best dress but it tasted really good!

Satay Chicken & Beef

Rendang Lamb | Red Chicken | Briyani Rice

Fruits

And here's a selfie with congratulatory flowers.

Formal Shirt with a Black Skater Dress | Red Vans

Formal shirt with dress? WHY? Here's the story of my dress. This trip had so many sad stories haih. My dress that I originally planned to bring was a similar version of this dress except the neckline is higher and my dress was not a skater bottom but a pleated instead. Okay, so the day before leaving to Johor, I tried it on and after that left it on my bed but when I packed it, SOMEHOW the dress I packed was NOT my dress. After figuring it out, I cried on the inside until my sister suggested to wear a shirt inside and ta - da! That's the story of my dress LOLOL.

After the event :

I really liked this photographer (with really cool hair lol) that took this photo for us. I mean, look at the pictures! Not only that, the photographer was kind enough to explain one of the features of the camera which I used wrongly (Thank you!)

I was trying to err.. look serious LOLOL.

My crazy sister!

A group picture with one of the lovely PA, Janice.

This picture was so worth showing because it's so beautiful. (Thanks to the photographer that taught me how to take pictures like this!!)

Here's a portrait with my prize possession flowers HAHA.

Bird Of Paradise vs. Hui the Bird

Sunflower Friend.

My aunt said that this was so funny because I looked like I have no friends that I had to talk to the sunflower LOLOL.

Basically that was how my Johor trip went. Even though, I didn't manage to visit other places or go to Lego Land (which had a story for it but I'm already at the ending so... never mind haha.) It was quite eventful for me. Until next time! xx.
