Parkamaya X CLEO

Hello my fellow readers! How have you guys been?

After a century, I have finally pick my fat ass up to blog about my long overdue event hehehe. Sorry guys, it's holiday break for me until next week so I have been lazing around.

This is my second magazine event that I've been to - Parkamaya x Cleo event can be found in their June's issue which I applied and got a seat to attend it! I've heard of Parkamaya before, but never had the reason to visit it - Now, I do. hehehe.

Parkamaya fashion style is more of a Asian-Japanese kind I would say. They'd dress cute yet weird. Either that, or sometimes their outfit attracts super a lot of attention. I'd say it's hard to explain but easy to point out when seeing in.

I manage to find 2 pictures of that represents their outfit style:

I think this was on their opening day of Parkamaya.
(credits picture to respective owners)

As you can see, their styles are oddly fashionable. Though, not to everyone's preferences.

As for the event I went that day, they had treasure hunt. We were divided into a group of 5 and have to go around the shops in Parkamaya to complete our task. Thank god I wore shoe!

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide images for the treasure hunt event as we were too busy trying to finish our task to stand a chance to win their prizes but, here's some pictures we had to post as a task.

FYI: our group name was Wonder Woman HAHA. Pow pow!

That was probably one of my luckiest day EVER because we thought that we're not going to win anything since they have already announced the first and second runner up. (One cannot be too greedy to expect to win first prize right?!?!)

At this point, I would usually try to self-comfort myself by saying there's no way we will win. Actually, it's just to con yourself to think of the opposite so hopefully what you want will happen HAHA. AND. IT. DID.

That was the first time my trick actually worked! HAHA From that, I also learnt that I am actually capable of squealing like normal girls LOLOL.

Wonder Woman First Prize woo! RM 250 cash vouchers each to spend at Parkamaya. Now I just have to start hunting for things I want to buy hehehe.

It's like shopping with FREE MONEY you know hahaha. We don't have to worry so much about the price, this is must have been how all those rich kids felt like. Just take - who needs price tags anyway HAHA.

Finally, a little snacks for us girls before we go on major shopping spree!

Thank you Parkamaya & CLEO!

Signing off, xx.

Mikey's Original New York Pizza

Yellow everybody!

Ever since I have finish my part-time work, my life has been lazy, helpful and sometimes unproductive LOL. Nevertheless! There are always time for good foood.

Today's (technically last Saturday) food hunt is...

*drum roll please*

Mikey's Original New York Pizza
(which was obviously stated in the post title LOL).

At Bangsar.

This happy food hunt began when my parents had wedding dinner (which we are not invited) so our aunt + cousins decided to eat together. Yeppie!

Mikey's Pizza is somewhat unique compare to other pizza shops because;

1. A pizza slice is about the size of my face HAHAHA.
2. Option 1: able to order a pizza with 2 flavours of your liking. (In case you can't finish two.)
3. Option 2: you can order per slice!

Definitely unique. BUT make sure you have extra cash just in case.

The place feels rather classic. Though, it was pack on the day we went so I didn't pay much attention to the surrounding.

Our order no. or in this case, order name: Spring. Quite creative.

Mr. "PINK" Spaghetti (If I'm not mistaken)

Pesto Penne.

Mikey's Pizza gives all their pasta a really creative name but I can't remember what it is called! Sorry guys, I can only give you the description of the dish.

Okay, I know you guys probably be like why eat pasta when the shop's famous for pizza?? Well guys, I am just attracted to pasta ok. T_T

Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wing (RM 12.88)
There is 8 pieces of chicken wing and it's very very spicy, though the dip compliments it well.

I would say the chicken wing is tiny like probably the length of a ring finger and the thickness is about 1 inch. HAHAHA. Just giving a heads up because I almost feel ripped off - thank god, we ordered quite some amount so at the end we have forgotten about the chicken.

Mikey's Classic Pizza. (RM 59.88)

This is by far the best flavour out of all that I had that day. Even my aunt agrees - so I guess that should be good right?

We also decided to give a half-half pizza flavour a go!

Pizza Bianco (RM 69.88 for a whole pizza)

Mikey's signature 4-cheese white pizza, though a little too much cheese! T_T

Meatball Pizza (RM 69.88 for a whole pizza)

Well, it says it all! Meatball/Beef ball for all you beef-lovers out there. I didn't eat this but based from my cousin reaction, it must have been good.

**Tip: To order a half half pizza, you pay for the higher price pizza. Ex: if I mix Classic with Meatball, my whole pizza would cost me RM 69.88 instead of RM 59.88. So better choose wisely to pair your pizza with!

Finally, pictures with PIZZA!

Poor soul me, my picture so blur T_T

Just in case my aunt thinks her face cmi, here's a lady bug for it.

My cousin and sister somehow have to patient to cut their pizza's into mouth-bite size and eat. No idea why, don't ask me LOL. The rest of us just use the God given gift to enjoy good food at times like this.

I just found out that their pasta menu is new, wow. HAHA no regrets trying their pasta, it was goood.

Overall, food is good. Pricing is kind of depressing but when you total up and divide out.. it's actually not that bad. Service is so-so.

Location:
17, Jalan Telawi 2,
Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur.
+603 - 2202 0080

Let me know what you guys think!

Until then, xx.

CLEO x ZA Beauty Workshop

Bonjour readers. After so long, today, I'm able to share with you about my long overdue workshop-event that I went to. If you guys read Cleo Magazine, you would probably come across this page:

When I saw this, I was thinking - why not right? It would be fun, venue isn't that far and not to forget the yellow bubble saying, "participants will get door gift worth RM100"!! #ahpoattitude. Like come on, who doesn't like free stuff? (Okay, technically I paid to enter this workshop but if we take RM100 - the amount I pay for my share = RM73 worth of free gifts!) Not to mention, They gave us "couple package" which allows you to bring a partner at a cheaper cost yay! LOLOL.

I guess for me it's worth it because it gives me exposure to meet new people and enjoy myself. Plus, I have been trying to put myself out there and get out of my comfort zone. One step at a time!

Back to the event - Basically this event is like all other workshops. They guide you on how to use their product and show you the right way to massage your face, etc etc. Our speaker for the day came all the way from Japan Shiseido!

Did you know that ZA products are actually under Shiseido? Wow. I didn't know that. It seems that ZA products are sold not only in Malaysia, but also in Thailand and Tokyo. (I used to think it was a local brand.)

Pictures for the day:

I think what really caught my attention was their lipsticks. I did some sourcing for lipstick before and it seems quite okay.

Our Japanese speaker: Megumi Mitsui.

This is picture is where our speaker was selecting a lucky girl, Sherwyn (left) from our table to be her model on stage.

Here's a poop size mask:

that is actually the size of your face HAHA.

Sleeping mask face HAHAHAHHA.

One of their product that they free gift to us by plastering it under our chair. (Quite smart ah, save the trouble of passing one to each of us and you can be like "SURPRISE!")

Compact Powder.

Blusher.

Eyeshadows.

If you're wondering, no. We are not given the privilage to take all the make-up stuff home HAHAHA. I know all your aunty attitude okay, I also secretly wishing I could take back.

At the end of the event, here's a few friends that I made - missing 2 bloggers which went home early.

A picture with our speaker, Megumi! She looks super young and adorable. (it's the Japanese genes, must have run in the family or as the matter of fact, probably the whole society.) Sometimes I don't understand how they can have the HUGE heart of effort to get up everyday and make sure they are pretty enough to leave the house. Me no can do. Me iz slavez to SLEEPZ.

I mean, the best I can do is putting lip balm (that is if I remember) so I don't look like some zombie that just crawled out from bed.

Finally, just some absurd photos of me and a nice one of my sister hehe.

Want to know what did we get for the door gift?

Ta-Daa!

They gave us a really cute pink sticky note with a book and some ZA products. Yayy! Actually right, the only thing I want the most is their lipstick HAHAHA. But pink sticky note and all is cute too.

I tested the colour and it look like this: -

A natural look with a tad of tint.

My personal opinion of the ZA product:
  1. Their liquid eyeliner are easily smudge so it's kind of hard for me an amateur at make-up to use.
  2. Their lipstick is so far so good, mascara so-so. I don't really know how to differentiate which is a good brand of mascara and which is not, yet.
  3. Their eyeshadows colour are so-so, nothing too funky and overall it would be easy to use it.

Though, their beauty workshop did teach us how to finally apply a smokey eye effect! Hopefully this skilled learn does not go to waste or forgotten.

Okay, that's all for now. Au revoir, xx.

Our inevitable Fart

Flatulence or in other words, known as farting. I read this in yesterday's Malay Mail newspaper on "Why you can't help farting all the time". This is seriously the one of the funniest/interesting topic I have read so far.

Did you know that we fart less than 13 to about 21 times a day??
NO. I did not know that. It seems that the reasons why we don't know because we are subconsciously farting! Omg, that means all the hot supermodels on runaway could be actually farting subconsciously. Just imagine if they had sounds. HAHAHAHAH poot poot poot *pose* poot poot poot *pose*. Good job guys! - at least you look good farting.

Imagine this too HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

You know how some people can fart OUT LOUD and some super silently.. (I try to be the silent one). Those that fart loudly is because of the flapping of their butt cheeks HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I mean everyone's fart sound comes from the flapping of their butt cheeks but.. if you see it this way, the louder the sound of your fart, the more flapping of your butt cheeks? *hypothesis theory #1. Well, let's not forget to credit the force of your gas when farting. Did you get it like a little push or a super ultra major strength push*hypothesis theory #2. Oh, and how about the tightness of your sphincter (sphincter - a ring of muscle surrounding and serving to guard or close an opening, for instance the anus opening HAHAHA) muscles. *hypothesis theory #3.

Not only that, the article even cover whether our farts can really light on fire HAHAHAHA. They called it the fart-lighting but it never ends well. Does that mean their butt catches fire too? I think so since they written there "treasure your asset." HAHAHA all those poor curious souls that got their butt on fire.

Although this article is super funny, but let's face it. Nobody likes to be embarrass in front of public with their farts. You can read more at: Healthworks and learn tips on how to reduce farting and smelly farts smell.

So all the best my dear readers, you're not alone for farting smelly.

farting out, xx.
